Zicsaloma Slams LUTH Over Alleged Negligence in Treatment of His Mother(Video)
Popular Nigerian skitmaker, Isaac
Aloma, widely known as Zicsaloma, has taken to social media to express his deep
frustration and heartbreak over the alleged treatment his mother received at
the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
In a video shared online, Zicsaloma
recounted the harrowing experience, revealing that his mother, who is currently
battling cancer, was denied urgent medical attention at LUTH despite her
critical condition.
According to him, she had initially
been rushed to a private hospital on Lagos Island due to a sudden deterioration
in her health. However, the hospital referred them to LUTH, where she had
previously received her first round of chemotherapy.
Shockingly, upon arriving at LUTH,
they were allegedly turned away and instructed to visit an external lab for
further testing. After completing the tests and returning to the hospital,
Zicsaloma claimed that security personnel refused to allow his mother back into
the facility, citing the pending test results as the reason.
“My mother looks like a skeleton
and can barely stand,” he said emotionally. “The private hospital we
first visited feared she might not make it through the night. And yet, LUTH
refused to admit her, offer a chair, or provide any form of support while we
waited.”
The skitmaker went on to describe
the medical staff as “unempathetic,” stating that none of his pleas for
urgent intervention were acknowledged. He added that they were told to wait
outside the hospital for three hours until the lab results were ready.
“Our medical system is broken.
If you don’t have connections, if you don’t know people, you’ll just die here,”
he lamented in the video.
