Cubana Chiefpriest Breaks Silence on E-Money’s EFCC Arrest
Business mogul and nightlife entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chiefpriest has voiced his support for fellow businessman Emeka Okonkwo (popularly known as E-Money), following reports of his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
E-Money was reportedly taken into
custody on Monday night, April 28, over alleged abuse of the naira and defacing
of U.S. currency offenses tied to money-spraying at a public event.
Reacting via Instagram, Cubana
Chiefpriest suggested the arrest was more than a financial issue, calling it a
calculated move to intimidate E-Money due to his influence and rising
popularity particularly after his widely publicized “Homecoming Concert”
in the Southeast over Easter.
“This is a guy who just did
everything to uplift the Southeast,” he wrote. “I knew they would come
for him they saw his strength. This is oppression, pure and simple. They want
to break him, to silence him, to force him into submission.”
The socialite didn’t hold back in
framing the arrest as part of a broader pattern of marginalization against the
Igbo community, vowing resilience ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We don’t die, we multiply. More
billionaires are coming. We will support and vote for who we want. We won’t be
broken,” he declared passionately. “@iam_emoney1, it’s nothing brother.
I’ve been there and it only makes you stronger.”
Cubana’s defiant message wrapped with a signature quote likening the controversy to a status symbol: “Just like our Rolls Royce a location for the rich and famous.”
