Actress Kate Henshaw Slams ‘Band A’ Power Tariff as a Bigger Scam Than Ponzi Schemes

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw is calling out what she describes as the "daylight robbery" happening under the guise of Band A electricity tariffs. In a flurry of passionate tweets, Henshaw vented her frustration over paying steep power bills for electricity that barely lasts two hours a day. 

"Band A is a huge FRAUD," she declared. "We're being charged for over 20 hours of power, but if I get even two hours, it's a good day. This is beyond ridiculous." 

The actress didn’t hold back as she questioned the rationale behind the pricing system, which promises premium electricity access but delivers nothing close. In a sharp comparison, she likened the situation to the recent collapse of the CBEX ponzi scheme, claiming the electricity system is “an even bigger scam.” 

Her comments have sparked conversation online, with many Nigerians echoing similar complaints. As the country continues to struggle with inconsistent power supply despite ongoing reforms, Henshaw’s bold critique adds a celebrity voice to the growing chorus of frustrated citizens demanding accountability.
