E-Money Walks Free After EFCC Arrest Drama
Popular nightlife mogul and
entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chiefpriest has announced
the release of his close friend and renowned businessman, Emeka Okonkwo, also
known as E-Money, from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC).
E-Money was picked up by EFCCofficials on Monday, April 28, following allegations of Naira abuse and
defacing of foreign currency, reportedly during a lavish party where he was
seen spraying bundles of cash.
Taking to social media shortly
after the development, Cubana Chiefpriest shared the good news with followers
and supporters of the flamboyant socialite. In his words, the storm has passed:
“My brother @iam_emoney1 is out.
Like I told you, it’s nothing. We rise, we grow, and we multiply. No weapon
formed against us shall prosper. Grace always wins.”
The post was met with a wave of
relief from fans and supporters who had been closely following the incident.
Though EFCC has yet to issue an official statement regarding the details of
E-Money’s arrest or terms of his release, the buzz online is palpable.
