Police Plane Crash Claims Six Lives Off Thailand Coast
What was meant to be a routine test
flight turned into a heartbreaking tragedy over the Gulf of Thailand on the
morning of Friday, April 25th.
A small aircraft, carrying six
police officers, including the pilot, plunged into the sea just off the coast
of Cha-am near Hua Hin Airport around 8:25 AM local time. The mission was a
preparatory flight for a parachute jump training exercise, an ordinary
operation that ended in extraordinary loss.
Images from the site show twisted
wreckage bobbing in the water as rescue boats and police teams combed the crash
site in vain hopes. It was a somber morning filled with grief, shock, and
unanswered questions.
“The loss is immeasurable. We
will ensure their sacrifices are honored, and we will find out what went
wrong,” he said.
The identities of the officers have
not yet been released, and the specific model of the aircraft remains
undisclosed. But one thing is clear: this is yet another painful addition to a
growing list of aviation tragedies this year.
As the investigation unfolds,
Thailand mourns the loss of six dedicated officers who took to the skies in
service and never returned.
