Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe is setting the record straight about one of the wildest rumors he’s heard about himself — and he's doing it with a whole lot of confidence.

In a candid chat with Nigerian chef, Ify, Uzor revealed that the most jaw-dropping gossip he’s ever heard was that he's gay. But instead of reacting with outrage, he says the rumor caught him by surprise — and a little excitement.

“That I was gay… That shocked me to my bones,” he admitted. “I was excited as well because I heard when they start saying such things, that means you have ‘blown’.”

The “Sugar Rush” star made it clear: while he’s not gay, he has deep love and respect for his LGBTQ+ friends. “I love a lot of gay friends. I love them to death,” Uzor said, emphasizing his support.

When asked how he knew some of his friends were gay, he chuckled and replied, “They’re my people. I know. They’re both male and female. I’m moving up to a girl and they’re doing their thing… you know?”

But just in case anyone’s still confused, he added: “I’m not going to agree to something that I’m not. For me, let God judge. If it were my sexuality, I would own it, and I’d be one of the hottest around!”

He ended with a laugh, noting that the part that truly stunned him was the person people claimed was his “boyfriend.”
