Kate Henshaw Calls Out JAMB Over Error in Response to Peter Obi
Nollywood star and fitness
enthusiast, Kate Henshaw, has once again proven that she’s not one to overlook
the details, especially when it comes to grammar.
The Joint Admissions and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) found itself under her sharp spotlight after making
a grammatical blunder while responding to comments made by former presidential
candidate Peter Obi.
The drama unfolded on X (formerly
Twitter) after Peter Obi raised concerns about the early hours young Nigerian
candidates were forced to leave home to sit for the university entrance exams.
Obi criticized the system for requiring students to report for examinations as
early as 6:00 am, a situation he described as harsh and unnecessary.
In its defense, JAMB posted via its
official account:
While the board was busy setting the record straight, Kate Henshaw swooped in and not about the exam timing, but about the English.
Pointing out the grammatical slip,
she wrote:
Her correction quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom praised her for upholding basic educational standards, while others expressed dismay that a national education body could make such simple yet embarrassing mistake.
