What began as a weekend of social engagements has turned into every spouse’s worst nightmare for a Nigerian woman whose husband, Angel Odumodu, mysteriously vanished while traveling across the Southeast.

According to a series of emotional posts shared by the distraught wife on X (formerly Twitter), Angel left their home in Port Harcourt on April 29 to attend two ceremonies a funeral in Owerri, Imo State, and a wedding in Nnewi, Anambra State.

Their last conversation, she recalls with anxiety, was at 10:50 a.m. He told her he was already on the Nnewi road, heading back to Port Harcourt. But Angel never arrived. His phone has since gone silent. No calls answered. No updates. Just an eerie and growing silence.

Fearing the worst, the family reported the disappearance to the police, and online users are now sharing his photo and travel details in hopes of finding himor at least getting answers.

“This isn’t like him at all,” the wife wrote. “If you have any information, please help. My husband is missing.”

Her cry for help has sparked a wave of concern, with many on social media joining the search, reposting his photos, and urging anyone along the Nnewi-Port Harcourt route to speak up if they noticed anything unusual.

In a country where road travel can be perilous and disappearances sadly too common, the Odumodu family now joins the ranks of many left hoping, praying, and waiting for a safe return.
