Three Siblings Found Stuffed in Freezer, Family Prepares for Emotional Goodbye
The grieving community of Nnewichi,
Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State, is preparing to lay to
rest three young siblings who were brutally murdered in their home and stuffed
inside a deep freezer by yet-to-be-identified assailants. The burial is
scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025, as their devastated family and
loved ones continue to seek justice for the gruesome crime.
The victims—Ejezie Chikaima
Daviana (9), Ejezie Chimziterem Dominica (7), and Ejezie Chimdilim David (5)—were
at home when their mother, Mrs. Chikazor Ejezie, left to sit for an
examination. Mrs. Ejezie, a lecturer and nurse, had no reason to suspect that
danger loomed over her children as she stepped out that fateful day.
Upon returning home, she noticed
that the front door was wide open, an unusual sight since the children
always locked the door when playing outside. Alarmed, she rushed inside but
found no trace of her children. Desperation set in as she and neighbors
frantically searched the neighborhood, including their local church, where the
children served as altar boys and girls.
After an extensive but fruitless
search, she decided to check the deep freezer—only to make the most
horrifying discovery. Her three children lay lifeless inside, murdered in
cold blood.
The tragic incident has sent
shockwaves through the community, leaving many struggling to comprehend the
senseless killing. The father of the deceased, Mr. Udochukwu Ejezie,
based in Irrua, Edo State, was informed of the tragedy on Saturday, February
1, prompting him to rush down to Nnewichi in disbelief.
Speaking on the devastating
experience, Mr. Ejezie said:
"When my wife got home, she
didn’t see the children. She and others searched for them, even at the church
where they served as altar boys and girls, but they weren’t there. After hours
of searching, she opened the deep freezer, and to her horror, she found the
lifeless bodies of our children inside."
The family has released the
official burial announcement to correct false rumors circulating on social
media that the children had already been buried. According to Mr. Udochukwu
Ejezie, the police have granted permission for the burial to
proceed, while the results of the autopsy are still awaited.

The burial poster released by the family describes the murdered children as "martyrs," emphasizing the brutality of their deaths. It further appeals to all "lovers of children" to stand with the family in this moment of deep sorrow.
Despite the horrific nature of
the crime, no arrests have been made so far. Police authorities have
conducted an autopsy, but the results are yet to be made public. The
family, community, and concerned citizens continue to call for justice,
demanding that the perpetrators be found and held accountable.
"We urge those spreading
misinformation on social media to exercise caution and respect the wishes of
the family as we mourn," Mr. Ejezie pleaded.
As the children are laid to rest,
the biggest question remains: Who committed this unthinkable crime, and why?
The search for answers continues, with hopes that justice will be served for
these innocent souls.
May Ejezie Chikaima Daviana,
Ejezie Chimziterem Dominica, and Ejezie Chimdilim David rest in perfect
peace. 💔
