Nurse Faces Charges for Ending Mother's Life After Allegedly Removing Mother's Life Support
A deeply disturbing and profoundly tragic case has emerged from Miami,
where a licensed nurse practitioner, Juansette Sabrina Green, 54, is now facing
manslaughter charges. Deputies allege she removed her hospitalized mother's
breathing tube, stating she wanted her mother to "die peacefully."
The incident reportedly occurred after Green's mother was admitted to
the hospital on May 5th due to shortness of breath. Local outlets report that
Green called her own children to the hospital, allowing them to see their
grandmother. However, according to her arrest report, a chilling moment
followed when Green allegedly declared, "I'm pulling out," and
proceeded to remove the intubation tube.
An alarm was immediately triggered, and medical staff rushed to
intervene, but tragically, Green's mother passed away. Amidst the frantic
efforts of the medical team, Green reportedly told them to stop, reiterating
her desire for her mother to "go in peace."
This case raises profoundly difficult questions about end-of-life care,
a family's desperation, and the boundaries of medical intervention. Juansette
Sabrina Green, with over 20 years of nursing experience, was arrested last
week. She appeared in court over the weekend and has been ordered held without
bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
The investigation into this heartbreaking incident is ongoing, as
authorities work to piece together the full circumstances surrounding her
mother's death.
