NCoS Offers N5 Million for Info on Escaped Ilesha Inmates!
Public safety just got a significant boost and a potential payday! The
Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has just announced a massive N5 million
cash reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the recapture of
inmates who escaped from the Medium Custodial Centre in Ilesha, Osun State.
The escape, which occurred on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, was a direct result
of nature's fury meeting aging infrastructure: an old perimeter wall of the
facility collapsed following an overnight rainfall, creating a path to freedom
for an unknown number of inmates.
Speaking on, Wednesday, May 21, Deputy Controller of Corrections and
NCoS Public Relations Officer, Umar Abubakar, issued a clear plea to the
public. "The Service urges members of the public to report any
information they may have regarding the whereabouts of the inmates at large to
the nearest security agencies," he stated.
Worried about your identity? The NCoS promises utmost confidentiality
and anonymity for all informants. This isn't just about justice; it's about
protecting communities and ensuring those who broke the law are returned to
custody.
If you have any piece of information, no matter how small, you
could be instrumental in helping the NCoS and potentially earn a substantial
reward.
