Devastating Loss: Mum K!lls Family, Herself After Leaving Disturbing Note
A deeply disturbing and tragic
event has shaken a community in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as a family of four,
including two young children, passed away in their home. The case has taken a
grim turn with the discovery of a chilling note, believed to have been left by
the mother, Laura Fernanda Leguizamón, 50, before her own passing.
The bodies of Laura, her husband
Bernardo Adrián Seltzer, 53, and their two children, Ian, 15, and Ivo, 12, were
discovered by a housekeeper inside their family apartment on Wednesday, May
21st. The housekeeper's harrowing discovery began with 12-year-old Ivo in the
living room, followed by his brother Ian in a bedroom. The parents were
reportedly found in their master bedroom. Emergency services confirmed the
fatalities at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the
incident as a domestic crime, as there were no signs of forced entry or theft.
Police reports suggest the father may have been attacked while he was asleep,
and unsettlingly, the mother's body showed no signs of resistance or struggle.
Both children reportedly had injuries on their backs and defensive wounds,
suggesting a desperate attempt to escape.
A fragmented note, believed to be
from Leguizamón, was found in the kitchen. Local media outlet Infobae
reported that only a few phrases could be deciphered due to the way it was
written: "Everything was bad, it was a lot. I love you. Everything was
bad. Very perverse." However, police have not yet officially confirmed
the note's authorship.
Sources close to the investigation
indicated that the letter's author "was not in their right mind."
This aligns with revelations from Leguizamón's sister, who told investigators
that the mother had been undergoing psychiatric treatment. The housekeeper also
noted that the mother "had changed a lot in recent weeks," exhibiting
unusual behaviors like asking the worker to leave early and becoming agitated
by a vacuum cleaner. This has led some authorities to speculate that the mother
may have stopped taking her medication.
The tragedy is compounded by a
resurfaced talk given by the husband in 2017, where he spoke lovingly about his
family, stating, "I have a loving, fantastic wife; I am grateful to
life for having found her. And I have two beautiful children." This
poignant contrast only deepens the mystery surrounding the devastating events.
As the Justice Department in
Argentina continues its investigation, the community grapples with the profound
sadness of this incident and the unanswered questions surrounding what led to
such a catastrophic outcome.
