Abia State Police Dismisses Officer Over Unethical Conduct
In a bid to uphold discipline and
professionalism within the force, the Abia State Police Command has dismissed
and de-kitted a Mobile Police officer over unethical conduct.
In a statement released on
Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Maureen Chinaka,
disclosed that the officer, Inspector Kufere Moses, was officially dismissed
from the Nigeria Police Force on February 21, 2025. The announcement was made
on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa.
“The public is hereby notified
that Inspector Kufere Moses, formerly serving at Mopol 55 PMF Aba and attached
to UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Abia State, has been dismissed from the Nigeria
Police Force, effective 21st February 2025. He has also been de-kitted, and all
police accoutrements have been retrieved from him,” the statement read.
The dismissal, according to the
police, follows an administrative disciplinary process after Moses was found
guilty of "discreditable conduct and offences against discipline."
While the specific offence
committed by the officer was not disclosed, CP Danladi Isa reiterated the
command’s zero tolerance for unprofessional behavior, emphasizing the force’s
commitment to integrity and public trust.
“Under my leadership, the
command remains committed to the Inspector General of Police’s vision of
ensuring a professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law-compliant, and
people-friendly police force,” Isa assured.
