Diana Ross Returns to the Met Gala After 22 Years—with a Stunning Gown Honoring Her Entire Family
Diana Ross reminded the world why
she's all three as she made her long-awaited return to the Met Gala after more
than two decades and she didn’t come quietly.
At 81 years old, the music legend
graced the red carpet with a dazzling presence that blended glamour, heritage,
and heart. Dressed in a custom white crystal-encrusted gown with a jaw-dropping
18-foot train, Ross turned heads for more than just fashion. The train was
embroidered with the names of her five beloved children, Rhonda, Tracee,
Chudney, Ross, and Eva and her eight grandchildren, a touching tribute stitched
into every shimmering inch.
The powerful ensemble was a labor
of love, co-designed by Ross herself, her son Evan Ross, and Nigerian designer Ugo
Mozie. Topping it off was a dramatic feathered cape and an oversized hat that
perfectly echoed the evening’s theme: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
