Popular gospel artist Mercy Chinwo has taken to social media to air her grievances about her tumultuous relationship with her former manager, Ezekiel ThankGod, widely known as Eezee T. In an emotional video shared on Tuesday, the singer addressed several issues, including allegations of toxic behavior, manipulation, and false claims involving her family.
This video comes shortly after
Mercy released documents detailing the rise and fall of her professional
relationship with Eezee T. One of the most shocking revelations was her
accusation that Eezee T sponsored fake news, alleging that her son, born on October
28, 2023, with her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, was fathered by fellow
gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey.
Fighting back tears, Mercy
said, “One of my major crimes was when I did a song with Pastor
Nathaniel Bassey. Because this man hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, you went as
far as sponsoring fake news about an innocent child—my son. You said my son was
not my son and you paid bloggers.”
Mercy also claimed that Eezee T
displayed animosity toward other gospel figures, such as Pastor Jerry Eze, and
often tried to manipulate her into adopting his personal grievances. She
revealed how he allegedly pressured her to avoid attending events hosted by
Pastor Jerry Eze and demanded that she align with his disputes.
“Because you hate Pastor Jerry
Eze, you won’t want me to go for his event,” Mercy continued. “The
people you fight, I must fight them with you. And when I ask you questions
like, ‘Why don’t you like them?’ you start harassing me.”
Despite the challenges and attacks she faced, the singer expressed unwavering confidence in her faith and resilience. “You have bloggers, I have God,” she said, highlighting her determination to rise above the negativity.
