Deputy Governor Of Imo State Has Been Impeached

Imo State Deputy Governor Jude Agbaso was impeached today by the State house of Assembly, 25 out of 26 State Legislators voted in favour of Mr Agbaso's impeachment.

The Deputy Governor was impeached for allegedly demanding and taking N427m bribe from a lebanese construction company, J-PROS Limited, engaged in the on-going road construction work in Imo State.

Agbaso denied he collected bribe. Meanwhile, Chief of Staff to Governor Rochas Okorocha, Eze Madumere, has replaced him as the new Deputy Governor of the State.
