Kanu Nwankwo detains aides for stealing $1000

Former super eagles player, Kanu Nwankwo had a face-off with his aides over a stolen sum of $1000 at his country home in Owerri,Imo state last week.

Kanu pointed accusing fingers at one of his loyal aides, who according to source was responsible for keeping the footballer's home for years. Kanu accused the young man and 2 other domestic staffers of being the thieves who stole his $1000 from his room.

Source reveals that kanu even invited police officers from state headquarters to detain and interrogate the suspects. He insisted that the suspects should not be released unless they took responsibility for the theft.

It took the intervention of close relatives before they were released.The boys maintained their innocence, stating they were not responsible for the crime.
